5-0 feels pretty good now! I hate to say I was right about Kyle Orton, but my fantasy line-up from last year doesn't lie. He was my back-up to Drew Brees. The guy doesn't make many mistakes and MANAGES games. One pick and that was on a last second in the half hail merry to Randy Moss! I will admit, before the Cutler deal went down, if you asked me if I would trade Jay Cutler for

don Marshall worries. Where do I even begin? Well, my last post was about how I believe Kyle Orton will do just fine leading this team to the superbowl!! Maybe I am getting a little ahead of myself. I believe he will do just fine leading us to the playoffs, at the very least a winning record. There! Is that a little more rational? According to McDaniels he is looking good and feeling good. What more can we ask for at this point?

2009 season it looks like their problems will be not only the defense again, but also the QB. Kyle Orton is not a Starter, but he will be trusted to head the Broncos to a legitimate season. Have fun with that Denver, I'll give 9/10 to the Steelers.

ced the reality that Cutler is not coming back, I have had a chance to think rationally. Kyle Orton is the guy, for now, and that's okay with me. He can manage a game, and that's what we need in order for our team to get better. I will explain.

Jay Cutler is now a Chicago Bear, traded for two first round picks, a third round pick and Kyle Orton. While a large part of me is still disappointed that the Broncos are trading away a 25 year old franchise quarterback with a rocket arm, the other, increasingly larger part is surprisingly ecstatic with the haul the Broncos have gotten in return for Cutler. The two first round picks alone are a hefty price to pay, but throwing in a third, and an established starting QB (albeit one who is not a Pro Bowler and one who does not have the raw talent of Cutler) means the Broncos might have actually gotten away with highway robbery. Consider that the Chiefs only surrendered a second round choice for Matt Cassel (and got Mike Vrabel in the deal as well) and it really seems the Broncos might have made out like bandits here.

Don't get me wrong, Kyle Orton showed a lot of progress this year, and could perhaps be the guy in Chicago... eventually. In the mean time what do we do. While Orton is not as inconsistent as Rex Grossman, if Orton should go down, we're stuck with Grossman. Either way there needs to be some effort in acquiring a seasoned quarterback that doesn't turn the ball over.

ain. They thrive on establishing the running game with rookie phenom Matt Forte, then letting Kyle Orton heave the rock downfield to his big, athletic (although not all that talented) wide receivers and have them make plays in single coverage. So, stop the run (the Vikings' specialty), and you usually stop Da Bears. Again, that bodes well for the Vikings.

ion, the Purple could not go into halftime on a high note. With just 22 seconds on the clock, Kyle Orton led the Bears down the field (two passes to wide-open receivers) and set up Gould for a 57-yard field goal, which would have been the longest attempt of his career. Of course, the Vikings promptly jumped off sides and moved the ball five yards closer, after which Gould punched it through to give the Bears a 27-24 halftime lead. Another Purple folly that would come back to haunt them later.

ling statement if you have followed the Bears the last few years). They finally have a QB, in Kyle Orton, who can move the team down the field, and that is pretty much all a team needs to beat the Vikings. Plus, RB Matt Forte is a tough runner (in typical Bears style) who will not be deterred by a few early stuffs by the Williams duo (which is always a good possibility).
