Who am I?
Dale Saunders:
Sport fan, husband, father, and the voice of real fans around the globe.
Hi. To start off, just because I possess superior knowledge and intellect doesn't mean that I can't see the truth in what you say, feel, or believe. My mission is to look into the topics of the sporting world and boil them down so that the every day fan or observer can make sense of them. It's my commitment to you, the dedicated seeker of knowledge, to use all of my resources to do just that. It's my supreme hope and desire elevate the blogging populous' approach to writing about their desired topic. I hope that we can all build off one another and create staple of sports information respected across the country.
I have been a football player and fan from age seven. I fell in love with the game, and the green and gold at that time. I played football until I was 27, participating at the little league, jr high, high school, college, and semi-pro levels. It was then that I hung up my cleats after reconstructive knee surgery. I love the game. I played for two seasons with a torn acl and meniscus. Finally the pain overcame my desire to play. Just like any junky of any kind I experienced gut wrenching withdrawals. It was then that I began writing about the game and the personalities involved. Both fans and players. I hope that you will enjoy what you read here. I hope to invoke thought.
Thank you
Dale Saunders

Things to do in Denver when it's dead posted on 04/04/2009
In the last 20 years or so, Denver Colorado has emerged as one of the sports hubs of the country. We boast all four major professional sports teams, three of which have compeated at the championship level. We also are home to a number of "B" list sports teams, The most exciting of which is The NLL Colorado Mammoth Lacrosse team. Just in-case some of you aren't familiar with lacrosse, it's the second most played game in all of Canada. Briefly; it's a smooth blend of hockey and soccer. For those of you that find yourself missing the physical aspect of football with high speed collisions on turf, you need to check it out. What soccer and hockey bot lack in scoring, lacrosse makes up for. It's not uncommon for final scores to be around fifteen (combined). If you're disgusted by the notion that some people would like to rule fighting completely out of the NHL, then you need to watch lacrosse. In last nights Mammoth loss to the Rochester Knighthawks, there were two huge hits sending both of the Rochester players out of the game so they could dislodge their jock straps from around their tonsils. We were also treated to two good fights, one that sent four players to the box. For those of you who enjoy the raucous atmosphere of the south end zone or Oakland Colosseum you'll find chest paint, voodoo costumes, chow bells, bullhorns and the rowdy Willy B of KBPI fame is the field announcer. Willy delights fans with plenty of in game trash talking. If you're not sold yet, let me mention the bikini laden hot tub right behind the glass in one corner of the field. If you can muster up the ten dollars to catch a game I guarantee, you will have fun. The most endearing aspect of an indoor lacrosse game is the players. After every game you're invited down to the field for autographs, and the players are gracious enough to stay and sign till well after ten o'clock. That's a big deal since all of these guys have regular nine to fives to get to. I strongly urge all of you to get out to one of these games.

Throw out the baby with the bath water. posted on 04/03/2009
Welcome, to the first of many enlightening articles from your’s truly.
I’m sure you’ll find something here that you can at least chew on for a while. I hope that you will find thought provoking commentary on some of your favorite topics. The first thing that I want to touch on is the up coming draft and how the home town Broncos will approach it. I’m going to be writing primarily about the Broncos because that’s what I’m exposed to. I live in Denver, Colorado, but I’m a Green Bay Packer fan. Have been since the age of seven. Being a Denver native I have been following the team for most of my life. I’ve seen all the highs and lows since 1975. Including the gut wrenching Super Bowl victory over my Packers. This being said, lets begin the Bronco talk.
