Again, it has been too long since I posted anything on here, but honestly, what needs to be said?  Denver is 5-0! They had a close game with the Bengals that resulted in Brandon Stokley catching a tip ball and taking it 87 yards for a touchdown.  Critics said we were no different from last year in our miracle wins.  That game was compared to the "bad call" against San Diego last year or the missed field goal against New Orleans.  Next came Cleveland.  We were actually underdogs.  Denver defense sent a message that game.  Then came Oakland.  Another message was sent.  Critics again said those were the games the broncos were supposed to win, even though  they were underdogs in two of them.  So the talk of, "oh they haven't played anybody" surfaced.  Well two games later and we beat a top NFC Dallas team and one of the best, the New England Patriots.

5-0 feels pretty good now! I hate to say I was right about Kyle Orton, but my fantasy line-up from last year doesn't lie.  He was my back-up to Drew Brees.  The guy doesn't make many mistakes and MANAGES games.  One pick and that was on a last second in the half hail merry to Randy Moss!  I will admit, before the Cutler deal went down, if you asked me if I would trade Jay Cutler for Kyle Orton I would say no way. Jay is a better athlete and has an amazing arm.  He is a gun slinger, but in terms of being a better decision maker and handling a complicated offense, Kyle Orton is the guy.  He throws sure, short passes that move the chains.  That's all you need.  And the result is that our offense is on the field more and our defense gets more rest.  Orton is a leader and is first to take blame rather than projecting it onto his teammates.

Defense wins.....games!  Brian Dawkins hasn't lost a step, Champ is more shutdown than ever, and what about the king Elvis Dummerville?  They look outstanding.  Watching this defense is inspiring and listening to them talk is the way champions talk.  I would rather have a good offense and a great defense than the other way around.  I love a team with a dominate D. Andre Davis, D.J. Williams, Robert Ayers, Kenny Peterson....I want to talk about them all!  They are all out to prove that the blue and orange defense is a force!

Speaking of inspiring.  Josh McDaniel's is doing it!  We all had doubts, no matter how small.  It's only natural when you lose your long time head coach, but he is bringing the noise in Denver and I love that sound!  During Josh McDaniel's press conference after the Dallas game, the hug between Brandon Marshall and the head coach says it all.  It's good to know that McDaniel's got our stud of a receiver on the same page. I know everything is peachy when you are winning, but we were 4-1 last year at this time and I dam sure didn't get the feeling that I do watching this Denver team this year.  5-0, it's a beautiful thing......Denver over San Diego Monday night  24-10, that's my prediction.
