5 Weeks Down, Looking Solid.

So after 5 weeks and a few good opponents, the Broncos are looking solid. This past Sunday when they showed the Buccaneers that there defense is getting better in all areas, especially getting after the passer. If you didn't see the game I'm sure you saw Champ Baileys hit on Brian Griese on Sports Center that took him out of the game. Before that though, Denver was putting constant pressure on the quarterback while still maintaining down field integrity. People have said a lot about Denver's D-Line and how it is struggling, what I tell them is that we have a lot of young talent on that line in LE Tim Crowder, DT Marcus Thomas, RE Elvis Dumervil, & RE Jarvis Moss. As these talented Defensive Linemen continue to progress, the Broncos D-Line will be very strong and very talented.

Enough can't be said about the real emergence of the Denver offense behind Jay Cutler. I remember watching him when he was at Vanderbilt playing all of those very tough and very fast SEC teams. He was the QB standout from that entire loaded conference while playing for the one of the teams with the least all around talent. He was also the 2005 SEC offensive player of the year. He has come out hot this year and has developed many weapons very quickly, if he can stay the course and the Bronco's defense can continue to get better and apply pressure, I have no doubt that we can and will win the division and return to the playoffs and beyond... where we belong.
